RECOIL AEROSPACE ANNOUNCES NEW OWNERSHIP AND LEADERSHIP

ATLANTA, GEORGIA – (March 7, 2023): Recoil Aerospace, INC. (HELI-EXPO Booth B5006), an innovative designer of lightweight carbon fiber wildland fire suppression tanks, auxiliary fuel tanks, and utility tanks, announces investors Matt Shieman and Dale Griffin have jointly purchased a controlling interest in the company. Shieman now serves as Recoil’s Chairman of the Board and Griffin now serves as a Director.

Shieman and Griffin are co-founders of Blackhawk Aerospace, which acquired a controlling ownership in Recoil last year. In this recent move, Shieman and Griffin have made Recoil an independent company with a focus on bringing key products to market in 2023.

“Team Recoil, under Joseph Rice’s leadership, is developing some extremely innovative lightweight, carbon fiber products that have garnered quite a bit of interest, especially in the firefighting sector,” says Shieman. “I am looking forward to helping bring these highly anticipated fire suppression and liquid cargo hauling tanks to market this year and further expanding Recoil’s growth.”

Recoil Founder & President Joseph Rice looks forward to the new leadership team’s contributions: “I am excited about Recoil’s potential with the very talented leadership and skill set Matt and Dale bring to the company,” Rice says. “The depth of management experience in this new leadership team will help Recoil bring our highly anticipated products to the finish line and out to market successfully. Matt and Dale will be instrumental in taking Recoil to the next level, a global leader in providing next generation product technology to commercial and government operators.”

Recoil’s 1000-gallon Tsunami T1000-E external tank, compatible with the H225 Super Puma and a variety of heavy helicopters, has begun certification. The 750-gallon T750-I internal Tsunami tank, compatible with the Sikorsky S-70M and UH-60, is currently a prototype in development for certification. The 1000-gallon U1000 internal liquid cargo tank, compatible with cargo aircraft with the internal capacity, is expected to be available by the end of April 2023. Ideal for humanitarian relief activities, and sustained remote field operations, the U1000 will be available for commercial and government uses.

Over the last 35 years Shieman has invested in companies operating in the aviation and commercial finance markets where he has held a leadership role in the development and successful expansion of businesses. He uses his unique skill set to improve the company’s operational and financial performance while working to develop and grow relationships with key vendors, distributors, and service providers.

Griffin brings more than 35 years of experience in corporate finance, investment, investment management, and aviation business ownership to Recoil, helping drive sound financial growth for the company.

Rice is a former military pilot, veteran and founder of Recoil Aerospace with 42 years of aviation experience.  Dual experienced in fixed and rotary wing aircraft, amassing just under 14,000 operational flight hours, he holds a unique perspective of military and commercial aviation mission equipment design requirements.
